additional alarm input for Y axis dual motor setup

hi,

i am struggling to used one input alarm for two motors because sometime when one motor alarm trigger the alarm signal don't open.

sometime its trigger the alarm but don't close the signal.

the solution i done is i used one alarm signal for one motor and the other motor i used the door alarm signal.

hope masso support consider this request.

are you using the B axis on MASSO to slave to Y or just wiring the two motor drives STEP and DIR signals together?

i am using 3 axis and wired two motors drive step and DIR signal together.

Hi Peter,

I am using leadshine H2-758 drive

depending on the alarm signal output of the drive, you can wire the two drive signals in series and then connect to MASSO. you might have to make some more electronics to connect to the transistor output of the drive but this is how it can be done.

or wire the alarm signals from each drive to the relay module to control two relays and then take signals from the relay to the MASSO.
