I stumbled across this little gem
www.altaros.cz
essentially an 8 tool turret for lathes that is electronically actuated and pneumatically clamped. Comes in at about 1k and for my mind looks like a great addition. Does is seem feasible that I could right a macro in the Masso and then connect the turret via an output so that I can program my M6 commands and have the Masso essentially carry out an entire operation without interruption? Along with this if possible, it would be handy if the Masso checked that the correct position on the turret is physically present to correspond with the tool call and offsets in the code. I m also toying with the idea of retro fitting a power chuck and using a pneumonia actuator and a draw bar for clamping. Preferably I would like to use magnetic proximity sensors to detect whether the chuck is open or closed, and have the controller look for the signal to allow the program to run.
