i am planning to build my second cnc router machine using rack and pinion. i choose this rack in pinion over ball screw is because of the size of the gantry.
my question is on how to compute the value of this to put in Motor : distance per revolution on axis calibration?
i know that there is the formula of this somewhere on the web but i forgot were to look.
i am using close-loop stepper drive that have 3000 pulse per rev.
gear rack module 2 and gear of 15 teeth module 2
5:1 ration planetary gear
