Axis Homing Issue

Hi, I am having trouble with my 3 Axis CNC mill. When I home the machine it goes through the normal process, but when the axis back off the limit switches 5mm on my machine, the Y axis accelerates past the maximum speed set on the masso (7000mm/m) which then then brings up a Y axis and homing error. It is also overshooting on the pull off by 50mm or so. Has anyone experienced anything like this before or have any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply, It turns out it was user error I accidentally selected Auto tool set and the machine was trying to rapid to a position that does not exist.
