Backlash G3 Compensation

I want to establish the backlash for my 3DTek Heavy Mill. I have a G3 (3.48). I watched Peter's excellent 'backlash' video but, it appears to be for MACH3. I didn't hear or see any mention of MASSO G3.

Is the script that Peter uses available for the MASSO controller? If not, is there some script or file that can be used to, properly and accurately, configure backlash.

My particular problem might be backlash in the X axis. I have a dial indicator but, not sure how to use it without a script to assist. Well, I could do it but, I would not be comfortable with my results.

Attached are three files that I used to calculate the backlash on the Bicton Men's Shed's 3DTek Heavy mill.

These files are designed to use M0 optional stop and run in metric.

Thanks very much Arie,

I managed to remove some backlash symptoms (not carving a circle perfectly, not carving text 'o', 'D', and other numbers and letter without a slight chnage of direction within the carve) by tightening up the drive belts and making sure the axis bearing blocks were effectively lubricated.

Do you have a any guidance on getting the best results from the .nc files you kindly gace me? PDF file, perhaps?
