battery backup fail

Just received my masso controller a few minutes ago. Put the battery in, and installed software. I get a battery back up fail window on boot up. I am using the battery that was shipped with the controller. I checked, and the batter has 3.2xxx volts. And yes, the plus sign is facing up.

See image. Rev 5 board, so batter holder is different. Removed and replaced battery 5 times. Still a no go. Surely it is not a bad battery. Guess it could be, but strange if it is, as it reads 3.2v

Working now. I installed the battery and waited about 30min before powering up the masso. Maybe the battery had to charge hold up caps or something. I would like to suggest that the documentation be updated to say to install backup battery and wait X amount of time before powering on the unit for the first time. Unless it is not a common thing.

Hi @routertrav, if you read the the documentation: https://www.masso.com.au/docs/masso...ation/installing-or-replacing-backup-battery/ you can see that you will get the error message once after installing the battery, its simply that you need to power down the unit once and then power up and the message will go away.

@masso-support, I actually did that about 5 times before I posted my issue. I am sure it was just a fluke. No biggie. It is all good now. Thank you.

strange, maybe the battery was not fully touching the contacts, but I guess all good now
