Hi Guys
Can anyone throw some light onto why I am not getting a spindle RPM readout.
Some details are:
I can switch spindle on and off with M03 and M05
I can control spindle speed under MDI with the command S1500 M03 (example)
The screen shows required speed that I called for under MDI but does not show actual spindle speed
I have connected the encoder to the block marked encoder on the Masso G3 (A B and Z) and the power wire to one of the Masso power blocks and ground to one of the Masso GND blocks
I have replaced the encoder with a spare one in case the first one was faulty
I have the INVERT option set to HIGH on signal A, signal B and index in the F1 screen but have played with other options here to no avail
The spindle pulley sticker has 5 black arcs and 5 white arcs on the outer rim and one black arc on the inner rim for the indexing function
Under the F1 screen, the spindle pulses are set to 5
In the F1 screen, the INDEX input goes low when the inner arc passes beneath the encoder but does not count up the number of revolutions it has made like I think it should???
Does anyone have any ideas that could help me sort this out
Thanks guys
Andre
