Clearpath wiring question

I am a little confused about the clearpath wiring. I have found two different methods of wiring and wanted some clarification. First pic shows the clearpath wire numbers and colors. The second pic shows the #5 (red) going to ground and the #1 (green) going the one of the 1-32 inputs. The third pic shows that the #5 (red) wire goes to one of the 1-32 inputs and the #1 (green) wire goes to the 12-24v power supply .

Which way is correct?

@halfstep

Both are correct.

It's just that one is "switching" +ve and the other is "switching" -ve.

The diagram from the Teknic Clearpath documentation page is the one you should use.

Also read CLEARPATH MC/SD USER MANUAL REV. 3.09 page 48 and on about CLEARPATH OUTPUT (HLFB).

Regards,

Arie.
