Crosshairs laser pointer

Hi, is there a way of adding an offset for use of a laser crosshairs pointer? I have mounted the laser pointer to the side of the spindle head and have to manually move the X Axis a set distance after aligning the crosshairs with the centre of the job. I would like to do this automatically but not sure if I need to modify the Gcode or whether there is already an option in Masso. I have a G3 4 axis unit with the latest firmware.

hope someone can help

by the way, I don t know gcode either, so if it is a matter of modifying the gcode, that will be my next question. Howto do it?

thanks

regards

Dean,

Currently there is no provision to set offset for crosshair laser in MASSO. So you need to do it manually, after zeroing the WCS DROs you need to move the head the offset distance and then re-zero the DROs.

But all is not lost, as in a future version of software we are introducing multi-head, where crosshair offset will be set in F1 screen, after aligning the crosshairs, a push of a button will "zero" the WCS DROs with the offset included.

Arie.
