dual motor y axis plasma table

Considering the Masso controller for my plasma table project, one thing i'm not able to find in the docs / forum is if the controller can run 2 drivers / motors for a single axis such as a dual motor Y axis setup. I've heard of some controllers having issues...

Yes it can. Depending on how you want to connect it up.

You can parallel the Y axis to two drivers, but you will have to reverse the direction of rotation on the "slave" motor.

Or you can purchase the 5 axis version of MASSO and slave the B axis to the Y axis in the axis setup. (B to Y is the default in MASSO can't be changed) This is how I have setup the Bicton Men's Shed's CNC router.

I did what Breezy had done. I have an 8 foot "Y" axis and purchased a 5 axis upgrade so "B" can slave with Y. I liked this approach as I can use two limit switches on the gantry so I can be sure the gantry is squared when homing. You have to play with motor direction while moving and homing but once setup is done it has worked flawlessly over the past 10 months.
