Ebay leadshine closed loop knock offs wire help and a 7 hp veko vfd

I'm about to wire a 3 axis linear gantry with a slave motor and a rotor axis for the 4th I have a fifth axis controller and noticed the a and b have only 3 wires. The drivers have encoders need wiring help

Hi @justin180

Those are great drivers and steppers. They should be really easy to hook up to Masso. The encoders connect directly to the drivers and the Drivers work their magic based on input from the Masoo so the only connections you need to worry about are the ones to the stepper outputs on the masso. I put together a playlist on my YT channel for a similar setup using a different controller. Its should help you get a feel for what you need to connect. Please take a look at Franco's Hybrid Stepper Drivers in a Toolbox!

Thanks Steven that let me get rid of my insecurities. That transformer is intimidating. Got the power wired it holds position. About to set up the masso controller. I spent 1200 on the 12nm motor kit from fasttobuy2012 on ebay great customer service. Here's where I'm at so far in the pic when I load the software I'll put weights to test torque

It lifts 60 lbs no problems didn't even work hard. everything works great. in the picture its picking up 30 lbs cant load a video. 60 I had my hands full the clamp didn't hold the motor on the table

I've been a machinist since 2000 so I want it to have the force to peel a chip. This is all new to me building one. Be a shame to put it all together and nothing work so I'm testing it before the frame that way I can have the ins and outs. Do you have any idea how to wire the pending. I want the controller to wait till the motor finishes before going to the next line of g code. I seen your YouTube video on the alarm and yes I'm wiring that up also. I just cant seem to find the information I need to completely integrate this driver with the controller.

Might be a good idea for you to focus on the spindle motor power, mill stiffness characteristics, and the resistance of the linear motion guides/ways. In my experience you don't want to have very much load on the stepper motors or ballscrews. You want to manage the chip load so that the spindle cuts through the metal with ease at an even amount of force moving a stiff structure with free moving guides or ways.
