End Of job Homing Z G28?

Currently the machine finishes it's job and retracts to "Safe Z height" before returning home in a direct path. I edited the Post processor to at least turn the spindle off at the end of the job before returning home but I also want to have the Z go to Machine zero to avoid clipping any clamps that are holding the piece down.

I tried G28 Z0 but it actually went down instead of up?? I then tried G28 Z90 to see if it was backwards and it went up but hit a Z hard limit so I feel like G8 isn't doing machine zero but work zero?

What code should I use to send it up to Z zero in the post processor?

Cheers

Mitch,

Try G90 G28 Z0

The G90 puts it into absolute mode which then makes the G28 go to the machine zero not the work zero.

That's how Fusion uses the G28 command at the end of a file.

Arie.

Mitch,

Jat "headhunted" me back in June and I started working for him in July. I'm first port of call for any tickets that came in from support@masso.com plus other things.

Regards,

Arie.
