Good afternoon is it possible to add an extra estop relay on the configurable outputs to my masso relay board i want to use the second relay for my z axis brake control cheers Trev

Hi Tpos

Yes you can connect 2 Masso relay inputs to the ES output of Masso and they will both operate together. I'm assuming that you are using the Masso G3

Cheers

Hi Peter thanks for your reply masso has one relay output for estop I am using this as a switch to enable my servo drive when estop is not active the servo drive has its own internal power on one pin and needs it connected to another pin for enable signal i have simply used the masso estop relay Contacts as a switch I don't want to use other contact of the same relay to supply power to my z axis relay would prefer not to risk any power From external power supply being connected if I could have two estop relay output that operate at the same time would be safer

Hi Trev

Masso has only 1 Estop output.
If you are using the Masso TTL relay module then you can connect 2 inputs of the relay module eg 1 & 2 to the ES output on Masso and operate 2 relays at the same time.

Hi Peter yes using the masso ttl relay module So I run two relay wires to the same estop output pin this won't overload ttl on I pin?

Hi Trev

I measured the current on my ES output and 2 of them were less than 2mA so it will not overload the ES output.
I tested with both 12 & 24 volts driving Masso and the results were the same.

Hi Peter connected two masso ttl relays to the estop output pin and wired the z axis brake all seems to be working well when estop is activated servo drives turn off and z axis brake turns on thanks for your advice cheers Trev
