External control of axes speed

Hi everyone,

thinking about building a new mill, larger than mine (italian Cielle), I'm looking for everything I need and landed in this bautiful Masso site.

In my little cnc mill I have two external potentiometers that let me control the axes speed and the spindle speed from 5% to 150% of the nominal value of the gcode. This is a helpful function that let me slow down the speed specially at the beghinning of the work, to see if everything goes in the right way. It let me also change the spindle speed if I hear that it's not the right one choosen in the programming of the job.

Maybe I've not searched enough in the site, but didn't find this feature in Masso controller.

Is it possible to have those two external controls in Masso??

You could use the analogue inputs on the G3 I would send a message to Masso asking for the analogue inputs to be assigned to Axis or Spindle speed. So the controller could do this in theory, It is up to Masso to add this feature. I would write a message in the feature requests also.

So the answer is no it is not a feature, but there is a way Masso could add this functionality

I really rate this controller but it seems they could add a whole lot of extra input and output assignments to make it even better

using a wireless mouse and screen does allow for changing these parameters, it is just a case of getting used to using a different method.

Hoping to hear soon some news from developers... maybe only by two (or four) digits in the keyboard instead of an external potentiometer.

There is keyboard feed override available. From the documentation.

Feed Override select ​	F11 ​	F2 & F3​
Spindle Override select​	F12 ​	F2​
Override Increase​	+ ​	F2 & F3​
Override Decrease​	- ​	F2 & F3​

From memory it is 0 to 150%

I haven't used it, so can't be sure of the value of override available.
