What does that actually mean?

is it possible to upload a dxf, dwg, stp etc.....generally universally acceptable drawing file exchange formats?

Hi shanep

Masso will not accept drawing files as it is a CNC controller only. It only accepts the file formats listed in the first post.

DXF, DWG and STP are drawing formats used in CAD / CAM software.

@shanep

you will need a cad/cam program to generate the Gcode that Masso, and all other cnc machines run on. There are many brands available, most people seem to use fusion lately and I think it's free for hobbyists. I happen to use bobcad and I just imported a dxf file into it yesterday and generated the g code to cut a sprocket with no troubles. Simple moves can be easily typed out in notepad and run on Masso also.

Thanks for the support.

turbocad has a plugin cam module that is similar to mach3/4 and will generate the g code.

so i need to find out what file format the turbocad plugin can output to check compatabiliy with masso.

thanks

moving forward - one small step at a time
