Fourth axis setup

I am trying to set up the 4th axis on my milling machine, which is a 3 jaw lathe chuck driven by a stepper. The chuck is belt driven with a 2:1 ratio. That is, the chuck turns 1 revolution for every 2 revolutions of the motor. I intend to use it mostly for engraving and cutting holes on tubing.

I have no idea how to make it work properly. Can someone point me to some documentation for what the settings in the axis configuration dialog mean? I played with it for a while and it seems clear that I don't understand what I am looking at.

Thanks,
Chuck

Hi Chuck

so have already got the rotary drive wired up and functioning, and are just looking to calibrate it properly? What type of stepper and driver are you using. It's most likely 200 pulses per rev unless you have your driver set differently . That would give you 400 pulses for 360 deg. Revolution of rotary table so 1.1111 pulses per degree.
