Fusion360 Post Processors for MASSO

Hi There

I am having a little trouble, possible old age, but the Fusion post file I downloaded to my Mac arrived as a .cps.txt, where I think my fusion wants the .cps file.

Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas?

I can only find a Fusion 360 post processor for milling... is there one available for the lathe control that I am not seeing?

@legacymachine - No there isn't. But try this post. I have modified one of the standard ones and have it working. I'm in the middle of modifying it further for CSS but haven't sorted this out yet.

I am using a HAAS post processor and it is working so far.

A purpose built post processor form MASSO would be preferred.

I think I have a decent solution. I am using the generic mach3 lathe post processor. Working just fine so far. I will update as I find out more.

Not sure if this was posted here recently but AutoDesk has added a Masso Lathe Post Processor for Fusion360. I would be interested in knowing how well it works. Just search for Masso to see the available posts.

I did try that one. It works as well. But I noticed that the XYZ screen display did not match conventional lathe orientation. Then I saw it was a mill post process. But it worked. Just the tool paths where not easy to see. The XY plane was as if it was a mill. I use the Mach3 Lathe Post Processor now with fantastic results. I customized it to not go home after the end of the program. I use a tail stock support and going home after program would cause a crash. You can get the post here. Scroll down till you see, Mach3 Lathe, https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts and follow the video below about what to do with it.

To use with Fusion 360, which is what I use, see this video by John from NYC CNC.

For every one else.... You are on your own.

I have successfully ran, CSF settings (Constant Surface Feet, aka Variable RPM while cutting), threading, profiling, boring, drilling, parting, and facing. I do not use tool changes. So I don't know if that works. No issues yet.

Best Matt

Hi Justin,

I have been working with Auto Desk to make a Plasma Post Processor. I am unable to test it myself as I do not use Fusion. I would be greatful if you would give it a try and provide some feedback. Just be careful and maybe give it a dry run before cutting anything.
The THC codes should now come out according to feed values specified on a property. The default to 500 mm/min, but perhaps there is a better value.

Probe and probe offset values are set with properties as well and should be coming out.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers Peter

Hi Peter .

I am new to all this CNC stuff . I could give it a trial run but at this moment I don't think I am the best person to give it an accurate assessment or feed back of any value sorry but thanks for the offer
