Can the G Code viewer be shut off (disabled) in a Masso G-2? Since the last software release it bogs my machine down...acts like it feeds the code slower and slower until it reaches the Viewer memory limit.

When the code quits advancing in the viewer the machine takes off and runs like it's supposed to. Getting to be a real pain in the neck in so much as when I'm carving hard woods it slows the machine down enough that it starts to leaving burn marks.

I'm running version V3.44
The control won't upgrade at all. I tried a new USB drive formatted to FAT32, 16kb, with a MASSO folder.
Pressing the F1 key repeatedly only opens the settings page upon boot up.
I tried a different keyboard too.
I attached my settings file.

My bad, but it still took 4 tries before it would take the update!

Still doesn't help with the control bogging down and slowing down until the G-code viewer memory maxes out (or whatever is going on with it)

With the update I noticed that when it loads the program cut graphics it even bogs with that, until it reaches that same point in the program.

Now before somebody says it the G-code, I've run several hundred of this type of part under Mach 3 with NO problem.

I tried regenerating the program with the "Masso" posts in Fusion 360, Aspire, and V-Carve pro. Same issue!

Common denominator here is the control.

Greg,

With large gcode files the G2 does "bog down" during graphic loading, but you can speed that up by hitting the escape key and G2 with continue with the load process without updating the cut graphics.

This will not prevent G2 from running the gcode as when you start the cutting cycle, G2 reads the gcode directly from the USB memory stick not internal memory.
