Hi Guys.

I need help with all these g 92 and G54 and what ever else there is so here goes.

1 ) I home my machine all good home .home position top right for ease of sheet placement

2) I have set my G54 at bottom left on corner of sheet.in F 4 screen , here is were it all goes to s**t load program simple square using fusion 360

3) move to location to start cut . 0 DRO I get a G92 temporary offset, I press cycle start torch goes to different location than my DRO 0 point ,and starts cut. No matter were my DRO is set to 0 on the plate it always goes to that other point and starts cut .Only dry running at the moment still learning what am I doing wrong please help very frustrated at the moment

Hi Justin,

Have a look at this video as it will take you through the 3 coordinate system in Masso.

It will explain G92.

Cheers Peter

Hi Peter.

I have watched you clip in the last 2 day many times .My problem is when I want to cut my plate say starting in center of table the I 0 my X and y axis in that spot I get a G92 in red at the bottom of the screen but when I press cycle start it goes to bottom left about 80 mm from my G54 set point with out fail if I delete the G54 in F4 screen it then goes to home position top right and crashes into hard stops I am so confused

What does the Machine DRO show when you have just homed it? Also what does the Work DRO show?

When you issue a X0Y0 in MDI after homing where does the machine end up?

In F4 screen what is set in G54 for X & Y? These values are Machine co-ordinates. Also make sure that the other G5x's are set to zero.

When you create the setup in Fusion, in the browser what does the setup show as the Work Offset? See attached screen clip, in that you can see that I have 3 different Work offsets. Default & 1 = G54, 2 = G55.
3) move to location to start cut . 0 DRO I get a G92 temporary offset, I press cycle start torch goes to different location than my DRO 0 point ,and starts cut. This seems like that you are not using G54 in the Gcode, check the file in an editor, after the machine setup commands you should find a G54 command, also when you run the program check the status that it is still showing G54.

Your problem lies in your homing setup, what have you set the Home position to? It needs to be a positive value equal or near equal to the size of travel available.

It is not MASSO who confused, are you aligning your start point on the machine with the start point you selected in Fusion?

Arie.
