Gear Hobbing - Synchronisation of Spindle to A Axis to cut gears

ZombieEngineer
Gear Hobbing is a standard machine method for cutting gears using a cutter known as a hob.

It requires synchronization of the A axis to the spindle using an appropriate divisor (N revolutions of the spindle for 1 revolution of the A axis = N tooth gear)

As of Beta version 4.02.77b it is now possible to drive the spindle with Step / Direction signals which allows accurate control of the spindle speed.

If the spindle speed and A axis can be controlled exactly by Step / Direction signals then this request is largely moot.
