Hall Effect Sensor - wiring to MASSO

I'm wanting to measure my spindle speed on my mill. Any suggestions, any code required.....how would you wire this in.

I have a few Arduino hall effects sensors laying about...thought I might giuve it a go

Want to see the speed on the SPINDLE readout on my screen

Looked into this before. It's tricky to install anything third party as any thing you mount to a spindle will cause it to be out of balance at high RPM

I'm going to try see if one of these is an option for my larger spindle

I think its possible using a 100ppr NPN encoder but it has limitations. Read through this post for some good information and the documentation page on spindle rpm encoder.
