Hi guys,
Im thinking about buying the 5 axis version of MASSO controller, but i have several questions. Is it capable to use absolute spindle encoder for precision spindle positioning same as when using axis positioning and is it able to read out absolute glass linear scales and drive the servo motors based on those readouts not just the motor encoder? Same as setting my soft hardware limits based on linear scale readouts, so theoretical i dont need to home the machine? This is fundamental to me as i would like to be able to do orbital milling and other things.
Im by proffesion CNC programmer/setter and as well i was building and installing CNC machines for Buderus Schleiftechnik for few years, so im mostly interested in the board capabilities and computing power.
So is it able to do orbital milling? If yes im buying it. If not, im out of here... Thank YOU!
