High amount of mm on the dro when doing homing

Hello all,

Strange behavior of my dro on homing,as soon as i perform the homing sequence my dro jumps to around 6000 for my x axis and 7500 for my y axis.after homing is finished it sets itself back to zero like it should.just wondering iff this is normal.

Yes it is normal for the DRO to show a high value in travel while the machine is homing and then set to zero once homing is complete.

This ensures the machine does not run out of travel before it reaches the homing switch.
