Homing.

G'day,

I seem to have a problem in the homing screen, the "Set Axis Value to" screens are all grayed out and I can't update my values. My current values are X0, Y0, and Z+90, because I write all my code with the table zero. however I would like to start using the material as zero so I would like to change my Z homing to and change my Z axis values from Z minimum =0 Zmaximum =90 to Z minimum =-90 Z maxiumum = 0. is there a secret ctrl key I need to press to acess the homing set to windows.

Cheers

Lyndon.

From version 3.29.1a the homing position settings can't be edited. These values will automatically be inserted from the axis minimum or maximum travel when you click Direction Invert tick box for an axis.

So if you want the Home position for Z to be 0.00 then you simply tick the Z Direction Invert in the Homing setup window, then MASSO will automatically set the homing position to be 0.00 from your Z axis minimum travel value.

I have the MASSO homing sensors located in the back left corner of my machine because that was the simplest location for wiring . (To me this is -Y and -X.) My question is, when the machine stops in these two location is this considered the "0" position for these two axis? From these two locations would I then enter the X & Y travel dimensions?

can you upload a photo of your machine and mark which axis is what and where the sensors are located. We need to see the setup before we can give any feedback.

Hi,

Is there a new version of your software? Because i read here that you say v3.29a but on your software release note only v3.28a.

Thanks

Thanks for the photos, your X home position will be x0.00 and Y home location will be the maximum travel of your axis, for example if your Y max travel is 500mm then it will be set to 500mm as homing position.
