How many homing modes Masso controller offers!

Hello everybody!

I am Maker Lu.

How many homing modes Masso controller offers!

For Stepping motor , there is no index inside motor. Homing can reach each home sensor(on) and reward until sensor is going off. But for servo motor , it is better to reward moving and finding its encoder index as home position.Since it is very precision.

Can masso controller do it?

The other question: Is anyone using 4th-axis for carving. Please post video for reference!

Masso has one homing mode using external sensors to locate the home position.

A 4th axis can be set up for rotary carving.

Hello,

even though Masso does not have the delta search feature in the home sequence, it is not needed. Servo motor can use any position on encoder as its datum point and easily calculate from that place. Steppers on the other hand need to home in this method, and most users seem to use stepper motors.

I have been homing servo motors on the machine I built for over a year now and it has never miscalculated its position once even though not homing to delta position on encoder.
