How to setup a Scribe for SheetCam.

This is the procedure to add a scribe to your plasma table.

Picture shows the tool number I use in SheetCam and the settings for doing a Centre punch, don't forget the tool number has to be 100 or over. Shown is the first photo.

In the post processor the scribe values are changed as well. Shown is the second photo.

Best way to get your offset is to zero the machine over a piece of clamped metal.

Scribe a cross onto the sheet of metal, then move the plasma tip over the cross that you just scribe and take the X/Y readings from Masso.

These values are to be placed into the SheetCam post processor and saved.

One thing to note, on the Masso screen the scribe will not show in the correct position like in your drawing and of SheetCam.

Masso screen will show the the scribe offset to the same value as what you set in SheetCam.

When it is time to do a job the plasma tip is the one to be zeroed to the job not the scriber!

A dry run with Masso will prove it is working correct!

You can look at my video it has some centre punching followed by the cut.

Ross.
