Hello All,

I just received my new JGL-80 ATC spindle and I am confused by the three sensor wires that are on the top, The documentation is pretty poor in the manual. Does anyone here utilize this model and could you shed some insight on the sensor wires and what they do?

Cheers,

Todd

Sorry I thought I would add a few more bits of information, I have 2 sets or 3 wires that are labeled 11 & 22 and 2 sets of red and black wires, I think these are the sensors for spindle rotation and if the ATC is open or closed.

If anyone has any info that would be great.

Cheers,

Todd

How did you go with this, Todd? I m in the same boat now. I think the two shielded cables are PNP sensors for drawbar status, but I don t know what the unlabelled red and black wires do.

I have just recently set my 100/3.2/24 spindle up from those guys, the 11 and 22 is as you say spindle clamp open and closed position sensors, the black pair is temp sensor and the brown pair is a shutdown switch if the spindle over heats, hope this helps.

Thanks, Ash.
That s very helpful. None of the documentation I received said anything about the temp sense and shutdown. Did you connect those in your rig? If so how? I m thinking they re a nice to have, but not essential.

there is wire that is 2 proximity sensor one is NPN and PNP sensor this is for the close open sensor for the clam. because id you hook this in Masso you need one of that sensor.

and leave the other sensor. the remaining wiring is for temp. sensor but in my case i did not hook that in my masso i did not find that is needed.

hope this will help.

thanks
