Jog and Homing quit working

I was trying to re-calibrate my lathe x axis and the jog function quit working any help would be appreciated. I am having trouble turning to the right size. I seem to be .005 thousands under size, that is why I was trying to re-calibrate the x axis. I was using the wizard to do it. If some one could explain the proper way I could use the help. Thanks and have a good day

Hi Jim,

Step by Step instructions for axis calibration can be found here:

https://docs.masso.com.au/wiring-and-setup/setup-and-calibration/axis-calibration-wizard

If you have backlash turned on please turn it off before calibrating the axis or you will be fighting it every step of the way.
Eliminate backlash by manually removing backlash before you start the calibration process.
To do this ensure that when you move to the starting point you jog in the same direction of travel that you will be moving in to the end point. This will remove backlash from the axis under test.

To calibrate the X axis a Dial indicator would normally be used and use the largest travel distance the dial can comfortably measure to give the greatest accuracy.

Hope this helps
Cheers
Peter
