Hi all, like it reads yes I am new to this. Been retired for 7,1/2 years and turn 54 this week.
Trying to build a plasma cutter with a scribe setup, but being an expat from OZ living in Thailand I have to buy everything from the internet.
Hope to buy the Masso controller soon.
If you want to know what drove me to do this build, just like to build stuff, I have made full fiber glass four wheel drive bodies in my 20s, done gold detecting made and designed gold dredges for myself as a hobby. Travelled a bit to other countries, some how got lost and never found my way home, I blame it on the northern hemisphere, you just seem to loose your coordinates.
But living here in Thailand their is not much to do! While watching YouTube I came across this and thought why go to the steel shop and buy a $2 piece of square steel when I can make the same thing on a plasma cutter.
So that is about it in a nut shell, so feel free to ask questions about Prospecting but not CNC well for a few years at least.
