limit/home switch issue

Hi, I have wired my machine limit switches (1 x each on the Z, X & Y axis for a total of 3 switches. Standard lever type switches. NC configuration. One common power wire from the Masso G3 PWR red block to the 3 switches with separate wires back to the inputs) and assigned inputs in F1 screen. When I start Masso (and go through the e-stop + login etc) I have green 'Ready' led light and no red 'Error' on the unit as well as no alarms in the main screen- all good. In the F1 the assigned limits are all reading 'Low'.

If I manually trip any of the switches they will read 'High' and go red and return to 'Low' and green when I release the switch.

2 issues though. 1) When I trip the x switch both the X & Z go to 'High' red...... and then return to low - green 2) When I trigger any of the switches the 'Hard Limit 'alarm comes on in the main screen and stays on. Any Ideas ????

What happens when you operate the Z switch, do both inputs go high?

Check wiring terminations make sure that you don't have any "whiskers" touching neighbor wiring.
2) When I trigger any of the switches the 'Hard Limit 'alarm comes on in the main screen and stays on.

You can turn off the hard limit alarm in the general settings dialog.

Hi, after a day of frustration swapping wires shifting/substituting wires as well as limit switches. Shifting the inputs to avoid chance cross contamination etc I chanced upon the fix...... swap the X axis junction clip around ! Realy ? I thought those were just in one end out the other, what difference would swapping over which way was in and out make? Never mind as long as that fixes it. There must be a rational reason I expect but I suspect witchcraft at play....... Yep that's it, If I cant understand it then there is only one option.

But to answer your question... Z switch functioned as it should do. Only when you activated the X would it trigger both X & Z to high

Thanks again... now onto the next phase. Better watch the videos again...... but there is a distinct correlation to watching Masso videos and getting into trouble...

You will get there in the end!!!!

What are you referring to with this statement. swap the X axis junction clip around Don't know what you are talking about. How about a photo?

Hi, Sorry. There is a clip joiner in the wiring to the z axis.. it just facilitates getting the loop into the loop channel chain etc. The clip joiner has 2 wires. Pwr feed in and return to the Masso input. I just swapped the clip to the other way around. (Yes I know they make them so you can't do that.... but a little force and hey presto! Besides I had done a dummy run { I mean 'made a stuff upp'... but I was trying to hold 2 wires to four ends and contacts, the loose limit switch plus the phone was ringing...} with the substitute wires .

Photo attached I hope

I have since last post managed to set up and home the Z and X, so good progress.

Appreciate your help...
