Hello from Holland.

I need some help!!!

I have a 4 axis cnc with A axis as a slave to the X axis, do they need both a limit switch?

Now the A axis moves away from the X axis.
And if the A axis needs a switch, do i need it place exactly as the one on te X axis?
Sorry for my engleish.

Greetings Martin

Martin,

If the A axis is slaved electrically ie. step & direction paralleled to the X axis then you don't need a limit switch.

If you have the A axis slaved in the MASSO then you need a limit switch and you adjust its position to square the machine.

If the A axis is moving in the wrong direction to the X axis then you need to reverse the connections for one winding on the stepper motor, reversing the direction of rotation.

Regards.

Arie.
