Lost backlash values

Hello

I have a new masso lathe controller

I finished calibrating my lathe but everytime I measure the backlash for x&z axes and save it then shutdown the machine and ofcourse the masso, I open the machine next day to find my backlash values are zero again

Can someone help me fix this problem?

whats the controller serial number and software version because there was an issue with an older version of the software.

I did the backlash test several times with both metric and inch gauges

The values in metric were about 1.08 mm for z and 0.113 mm for x

Now I use inch gauge with 0.0005 inch accuracy

I saved my masso settings file on usb drive to load it in case this happens again

But what backlash values have to do with this issue anyway?

There are 2 reasons I asked about the backlash values.

The first is I didn't read your previous reply properly and for some reason thought it was a G2. Sorry about that. Version 3.44 has the backlash saving issue that you have encountered and was fixed in V3.45. You need to update to the latest version which is V3.46 sent out on the 3rd of March. Check your emails and you should have it. If you can't find it check the Spam folder. Updating will fix your problem.

The second reason is a backlash value greater than 2mm will reset backlash back to 0.
