Hello, I am Gerhard, 50 years old and a mechanical engineer. I am currently converting a small CNC lathe Lux Turn (350kg) from old Fanuc to a Masso-Touch control. Masso is not yet so well known in Germany, but what I have researched has made me quite enthusiastic about Masso turning. If needed, I hope for some support here in the forum. First of all I wish everyone a Happy New Year 2024.

Gerhard

Welcome to the forum and Happy New Year.

I have Masso controlling my CNC router, and can say that the support through the forum is excellent.

As an aside, I am always looking out for a good quality small footprint CNC lathe, and the LUX-TURN looks to be a great machine. I had recently bookmarked a build that converted one to LinuxCNC -

I have not see these come up for sale in my area of Canada.

Hello TM Toronto,
Thank you for that Video Link. I know that person personally. He is the godfather of Lux Turn and Lux Mill in Germany. He rebuilts serveral, and made nice videos about it.
Best wishes Gerhard.

What a great connection - I will have to watch his other videos. I suppose all those Saturday morning German school classes I protested as a child are in fact paying off:D

Please keep us updated as your Masso conversion progresses.

Hallo Michael,

Uhi, klasse.

Which company made the mineral cast CNC shown in the image?
I have looked at those from Muller CNC-Technik in Germany - like the FS4MG - but shipping anything like this to Canada becomes very expensive.
I really like their builds and components.

My mineral mill is the MPS m from a very specialiced german company: Abel technologies.
I have the first version without housing and without tool changer. But I am very happy with it.
