Macro

Are there any plans to provide macro programming to the Masso? Would be nice to have the control react to inputs.

I literally was about to ask this. I have just made relay switched power outlets for the HSD fan, compressor and dust extraction. How can I write something to activate these on start up/ project start?

yes we do plan to do that, are there any links to information or videos on what you guys are looking for so that we can make sure we understand your requirments.

It could be pretty basic but be simple automation tasks to start,

E.g. When input 4 goes high, turn output 4 on for (x duration)

If input 5 goes high, turn output 4 off and turn relay 3 on; then activate tool change sequence on tool 4..

Etc. etc.

Does that make sense? This would allow many automated tasks via input status. Eventually we could even use the analogue inputs to control tasks like 5v temperature sensors that Masso can track and respond to?

My point of view as an OEM that uses the Masso for equipment other than conventional cnc machinery is that it would be a huge benefit to have some additional programmability. If Masso had the ability to use a small amount of ladder logic to control inputs and outputs it would be ideal. Maybe 500 lines of logic, 25 timers and counters, several hundred virtual internal Plc contacts, maybe some mathematical equation, and some internal addresses for data transfer and manipulation, would make this product bullet proof. Basically a small Plc inside there with the rest of the stuff.

Hi,

I will just preface this with the fact that I'm very new to Masso and perhaps this type of thing is already possible. I post this with only the info from the supported G-Codes described in the documentation.

Is it currently possible to assign parameters to variables? Like this clever chap (Clough42) does in this video would be pretty handy. -- at the 13:00 min. mark is good place to start where the concept of what he is doing explained followed a few minutes later by the code.
