Masso and vcarvepro

I just switched to masso. I use vcarvepro. I normally zero to the TOP of the spoilboard to avoid slight differences in material thickness, in this case 3/4 ". When I run the file, it starts cutting at the top of the spoilboard instead of top of the material. Can someone help me remedy this? Thanks, Dakota

I use V-CarvePro with no problems. How do you set your tool height with the MASSO controller.

First of all look at your 'job setup' in v-carverpro, is it set to 'Machine bed'? I always work from the top of the material, but that's my choice.

Just a thought, are you using the correct pp. If you can post a v-carver .nc file here I will have a look at it.

If you have set top of material in vectric, you have to Jog down to the top of the material with your trusty piece of paper and set Z to zero there. Not the top of spoil board

Vectric assumes Z is set to top of material so if you look at g code in text editor it will be doing negative Z based on Z being zero at top of material.

Sorry its early and coffee not kicked in, Can you do a simple square and post g code

I have started using top of spoil board to set Z and use spoil board as Z zero in vectric have had no problems am using Masso post processor.

Yes, I can do that. Work day is over here and I notice it's tomorrow where you are. I like zeroing to the top of the spoilboard so as not to re zero every time. Subtle variations in material thickness don't matter that way and I guess I'm lazy.
