I present my new project, conversion of the MX-750V mini lathe for the CNC control MASSO-CNC.

What I have: MX-750v lathe;

MASSO CNC control;
High power b rstenlosen DC controller ZM-7206 panel display speed drive 1,2 KW mit Halle sensoren b rstenlosen DC motor;

310 V b rstenlosen DC motor Flansch 80mm K rper l nge 180mm 1200 W 4000 rpm b rstenlosen motor;

RM1605 Set SFU1605 Rolled Ball Screw C7 With End Machined + 1605 Ball Nut + Nut Housing + BK / BF12 End Support + Coupler For CNC Parts;

Stepper motor 1.8 Nm 4.2 A.;

Stepper motor 5.5 Nm 5.9 A DS;

Stepper motor driver Leadshine DM556 Digital;

Stepper motor driver Leadshine DM556EU Digital


I completely dismantled, washed and cleaned the machine Now I'm assembling everything.​

Eine Frage, wie kann ich verbinden dem MASSO Kontroller mit DC controller ZM-7206?

A question, how can I connect the MASSO controller to the DC controller ZM-7206?

If you can supply a link to users manual we will be able to help.

It looks straight forward, just need to check operation of pin 4 & 5.

In the meantime you can watch Peter's video on setting up VFD. The principle is the same even though your are using a DC motor. It is important that you follow the steps laid out in the video.

Hallo, auf der Homepepage des Anbieters gibt es eine kurze Beschreibung des Systems,

Nach meinem Verst ndnis ben tige ich zur Verwendung der Befehle M3 und M4 einen Relaisschalter. Kantakt 4 M3 geschlossen; M4 ist offen, das zweite was mich verwirrt ist 10v. Drehzahlregelung f r MASSO-CNC und 5V. auf Cantacta bei ZM-7206

You need to get a MASSO relay module.

From the PDF you supplied, section 4.1 Speed adjustment method, second paragraph
It can also be adjusted by external PWM signal.

Connect MASSO spindle pin1 to CN2 pin2, CN2 pin3 to MASSO -ve PS, then in Spindle settings select PWM and set Spindle speed at 100% duty cycle to the max speed of your spindle. Also select the frequency you wish to run the controller at.

Now for FWD/REV and Emergency Stop control. You need to wire up three relays. On all three relays wire from relay COM to CN2 pin3 (COM)
Emergency Stop: From MASSO ES terminal to relay1 input. From CN2 pin6 (EMG) to relay1 NC. This should stop the spindle if the Estop button is pressed.
Forward: MASSO spindle pin2 to relay2 input. From relay2 NO to CN2 pin5 (EN).
Reverse: MASSO spindle pin3 to relay3 input and to relay4 input. From relay3 NO to CN2 pin5 (EN). From relay4 NO to CN2 pin4 (F/R). You need to use two relays to run in reverse.
To enable the driver CN2 pin5 (EN) needs to be taken high and when this is high the spindle will start. If CN2 pin4 (F/R) is high then the spindle will run in reverse.

Nearly there, you are using the drawing of the G2 whereas you have purchased a G3 so use the drawing from this page.

This of course will affect all your other connections in your previous drawing. I didn't pick up on the incorrect drawing on the first reading.

I made an error in one piece of information where I wrote On all three relays wire from relay COM to CN2 pin3 (COM) it should read four relays.

I haven't read this entire ticket but a great way of using this type of speed control.
I just wanted to comment that the MASSO Relay module runs off 24 volts not 5 volts.
For the Estop relay use a 10K resistor from EStop 2 to the MASSO Relay input.
Connect your Estop switch in the normal way either to Estop 1 if you have a pendant or Estop 2 if you don't.
The MASSO Relay is designed for 5 volts input but with a 10K resistor it will knock it for to 4 volts and save you the extra power supply and the extra Estop switch.

Hi, Question; what does the explanation in the ZM-7206 driver manual mean, should I connect a revision to P and B2?

The internal DC bus terminal of the driver is rated at 311V.

Some products have a built-in. If an external braking resistor is regutred,

connect the external braking resistor to P and B2. Note! ! !

Never connect P and B1 at the same time

Only needed if you if you get over voltage alarm. Manual is not clear about parameter settings or resistor values.
