masso info needed

hi i have a mill and a lathe conversion ,using steppers and currently run on mach3

i was thinking of mach4 but then came across some masso ,centroid ,video's . i then saw i had another avenue to explore.

i'm thinking of buying for the lathe first ,

will it fulfil my needs

i use fusion 360 for cad cam

cut threads using g76

want true css ,which matches changing rpm with feed

i use g95 feed per rev

confidence masso is here for the long term

i have a brain on mach3 which throws an e stop if the spindle stalls or goes under 70% of called for rpm . this stops me mashing tools into stock that's not rotating . is anything like this possible using the masso?

i have a single pulse on the spindle for screw cutting ,would i have to change this for an encoder ?

cheers

Hi Chessie

i use fusion 360 for cad cam
Masso Lathe Post processor for Fusion 360 available here https://docs.masso.com.au/cam-post-processors/fusion-360

cut threads using g76
Sorry not supported
Masso does support G76 but has a built in wizards one of which is threading. You can also use you Cam Software to create the required tool paths.

Yes G96 is supported

i use g95 feed per rev
G95 is supported.

Not going anywhere.

Masso does not support this.

Masso requires full quadrature encoder signals for multi pass threading.

Hope this helps
