Masso Plasma, Proma THC 150, Correct Wiring!

Ross

Ross
Hello people,

To correctly wire your Proma THC150 to the Masso here is the correct way to wire it!

But if you want to use the wiring diagram that Masso supplies you can and maybe blow the shit out of the board in the Masso!

Up to you!

And yes i have put this diagram up before to try to help other people, plus sent the diagram to Masso to replace their incorrect one they display.

From Ross.

No complants from me. It does the job real well,

The only problem is the Masso having the pause problem on the slow down for corners, to over come this i set the post processor to this!

--The cutter will slow down for corners and turn off THC below this radius
slowRadius = 0.1

--Minimum slow down speed.
--This is a scale factor. For instance 0.5 = 50% of the current feed rate
slowPercent = 1

This will eliminate the pause problem.

Now the small holes in sheetcam need to be on a new layer with a slower feed rate to overcome the new problem off ugly holes!

That is about it, maybe?!?!

Ross.

"Update, Pause problem has been fixed by Masso by doing a bug fix"

The main difference is that you earthed the common between Masso and the Proma. What's the reason for this?

It's a star point in the cabinet and then goes directly to the ground rod in the floor. (Note if you are prone to dry soil don't plug the hole for the ground rod, a larger hole will allow you to pour water into it to keep the soil damp)

The reason is just another safe guard to protect the Masso in case of a power spike from the Proma, tho that is highly unlikely.

Ross,

Go on admit it, you produced a good video on grounding plasma tables, if everyone did the same on their plasmas we won't have half the problems that are reported here.

Regards,

Arie.
