Masso Touch G3 Control Not Responding to Inputs

We have recently purchased a Masso Touch with 5 Axis capability for converting our Wood master 415 Router with dead electronics.

We are having an issue with the Masso unit not responding to the inputs, yet the e-stop is working ( existing machine E stop used see PS Below) . Problem was found when we were wiring the y axis homing switch, a wire taken from the 24 volt rail on the Masso and ran to the switch and back to an input on the Masso. The logic level wont change from low to high, i have tried this on multiple inputs and re flashed the software nothing seems to make any difference, even when the rest of the wiring we have done is removed from the Masso.

PS the e stop supplied with the Masso Touch was not working when installed. testing with a multi meter confirmed switch does not work and will need to be replaced.

Hello Arie

With regards with our Masso unit, the opto couples are ok. We have moved good E-stop opto into the input # 6 that we are using & fitted #6 opto into the E-stop position, E-stop still works but input #6 does not.

The common connection to the bank of opto s down the side of the inputs has no connection to negative rail, but the three opto s along the bottom near sockets have a common connection to the negative rail.

Is their meant to be a connection to the negative rail to the main bank of opto couples. If so what is the solution?

Is this a faulty unit?

We have an experienced technician who has worked in the Industrial side of electronics for over 40 years I am confident the information we are giving you is quite accurte.
