Masso VFD 0-10v output not working

Hi,

I have been converting over an existing machine with a Masso G3 4 axis. I have it all running OK except for the Spindle speed control. I have spent time reading through the forums and found a couple of similar post but still can not fix it. I have watched the video in the documents, my set up has the same VFD as in the video. I worked through all the steps and at the end, it would still not work. I plugged a 9v battery to the wire that connected to the -Ve and pin 1 and it worked. If I put the multi meter on the -Ve and Pin 1 on Masso, it showed 68mV.

can some one please offer me some assistance. I changed the VFD settings just to go back to the front panel on VFD for now.

Could this be a faulty unit?

regards

@damomac

Did you follow the detailed process that Peter describes in the video below? The trick is to make sure it works with a remote potentiometer. Follow these procedures step by step and don't skip any step.

I have noticed that other users have had similar problems getting their vfd's started for the first time. Once you are certain that everything has been done properly as Stephen suggested, then I recommend using an mdi command to start the vfd. Try typing in, M03 S1000 and hit enter. This should give you 1000rpm in a clockwise direction. I'm starting to think that when you push the spindle clockwise button the Masso has no previous rpm to remember ( because it's newly installed ) so it can't put out a voltage to the vfd. Good luck

Hi @evermech & @testyourdesign,

Thankyou for your help, I not sure what happened as I had tried these steps last night with no success , Today I did the M03 S10000 it worked straight away.
I am lost for words, thanks again.
