micro steps - GR214V

I was wondering which setting I should set?

Geckodrives said to use the highest 256usteps?? (see attached pdf)

After wiring in the stepper motor it will run very slowly, one step at a time in one direction, and once i start it, I can't stop it even with the stop button. Is that showing the wiring is wrong or could that be a setting in Masso?

256 x micro stepping is insane unless you are building a machine to engrave the entire bible onto a postage stamp.
That's a 1/2 million steps to make your stepper motor do 1 revolution.

A standard Gecko drive uses a fixed rate of 10 times microstepping which would be 2000 steps per revolution on a standard 1.8 degree stepper motor.
Without knowing the rest of your drive train specs it is hard to say but 10 is probably about right and I can assure you that 256 is way, way too high.

I'll try 10. Maybe using the 256 is why it was running so badly??
