Mark,

What MPG are you using?

Can you confirm that when you select each axis that there is a connection between the relevant select pin and the shell and no other pins.

When looking at the pin layout, X is on pin 8 and all the others are on the other side of the connector pins 9 - 12.

Also check in the socket of MASSO that there isn't something there. For Y to be active when MPG select is OFF there must be a short to -ve somewhere.

Regards,

Arie.

Hi Mark,

Can you please post a screen print of the F1 Screen.
Please ensure that the inputs at the top half of the screen are visible as this is where the MPG inputs are located.
My best guess is that you have inverted come of the MPG inputs and that is causing your problem.

To get a screen print go to the F1 Screen and use CRTL + P and post the screen print here for us to have a look at.

Cheers
Peter

@markfettback

Mark,

Move the Inputs portion to the top of the screen a provide a new screenshot, you are missing the MPG select inputs in the picture Untitled-22.

Arie.

@markfettback

Mark,

There is your problem, you have inverted XYZ select inputs and as a consequence both X & Y are high while Z is low which I would say was selected on your MPG.

Highlight each axis select in turn and press spacebar to turn invert to NO.

Regards,

Arie.

PS. Let us know if that was your problem.

OK now we are a little closer

On MPG

YXZ all move fine ( 4 or A ) just wiggles

On Touch screen

YXZ all move fine ( 4 or A ) just wiggles

Wiggles = does not rotate forward or backward just a little movement

On Axis-A (or 4th Axis) can you please check the wiring for the STEP and DIR to your stepper motor driver?

I suspect you have the two wires swapped (it would cause a very slight movement as the DIR flips between forward/reverse - effectively "buzzing in place").
