Hi

Jorn From Norway

I have now a new project ,a Pinacho Taurus 260 CNC lathe

The lathe has a Fagor controller that has a bad cpu card ++ so i'm into getting a new controller and hopefully new servos (or those hybrid stepper's with feedback)

Looking into the Masso controller to retrofit on this machine, as realy like the concept here.

The pinacho has 2 handwheels which i would like to use , so i can use the jog function on both Z and X axis simultanously , as manual lathe

Can some of the inputs (except the MPG input) be used to accept signals from a pulse generator handwheel)

I asume i need a signal converter from differential to straight pulses X+ X- Z+ Z-

like this https://dronebotworkshop.com/rotary-encoders-arduino/#Arduino_Control_Encoder_Test_Hookup

thx

Hi

Well the photo is not my actual machine , i do not have a tool changer at the moment

The Servos are AC Fagor FXM.

the problem with the Drives is that they use the SERCOS system with fiber optics only for inputsignals

So i have to replace the drives to , as i have not found any solution for converting the optical sercos

(i have one interessted in buying the drives /servos and rest of the control system)

I'm afraid it's not possible to jog two directions simultaneously on Masso. It's just one input for MPG and from keyboard it's not possible either.

thx for clarifying Jolbas!

maybe this coud be future upgrade? as i think it is a handy feature , especially on lathes for using it like a manual lathe
