RD here old Machinist over 80 lost in mid America still making chips and shavings I have a couple of old Bridgeport s a 79 and a 80 BOSS 5 and a BOSS 6 like to put new life into this old iron with new controllers anyone out there use a MASSO controller on a old Bridgeport

Hope the conversion goes well for you.
There are a couple of bridgeport conversions in the conversion section of the forum though both seem to be inactive now.
You could start your own build log and show the progress as you go. I'm sure others will find it interesting.
