Optical sensor for spindle

Is the optical sensor that Masso sells all I need to be able to cut threads on my CNC Lathe. Can I get a wiring schematic for wiring the handwheel that Masso sells?

Hi Jim,

Along with the optical sensor you will need a sticker with the encoder pattern for the pulley, gear or some such's for whatever diameter that is, where you mount the optical sensor (Most suitably on the spindle or something that has the same rpm as the spindle). There is an Encoder pattern generator you can use here :

Along with the wiring info. Note that Masso is G32 only for threading currently, if that matters.

The Hand wheel Masso sells just plugs in to the MPG plug, - top plug right hand side.
