Plasma arc blocker/ curtain

I have seen CNC plasma cutters in workshops over the years and they have a fabric like curtain attached to the cutting torch to block the arc.

I have tried googling any type of arc protection/ blocker and I can t find anything.

Can anybody share any information for any kind of method to block the arc?

Here is a few things to try.

Glasses might be OK for you but they have to filter out UV and IR light. Esab has a data sheet for this.

Thanks for that, I m aware of the glasses you can use but would be nice to have a curtain around the arc to stop most of the arc. Just another safe measure in the workshop.

I may have to make my own out of a heat resistant material.
