Plasma Arc Okay Signal - how is it used?

I have a home built plasma system 2' x 4' table with an Everlast 50S torch (with cnc connections) and Proma THC150 height controller. I cut mainly 18g - 12g mild steel. I use SheetCam to make my gcode and have been reviewing the G codes listed on the Masso site and both of the available post processors (with & w/o THC) that Masso has for SheetCam. Nowhere do I find any reference to the use of the Arc Okay signal. So is it used? If so how? Why are there only pierce delays in the posts and not a wait for the Arc Okay signal? This could be important when I want to use the "drill" operation from SheetCam to pierce small holes that will be used for manual drilling operations. Since you just pierce a hole, THC has no effect since there is no move.

My particular system I have 2 methods to get this signal, one from the Proma (the way it is wired at the moment) and one from the Everlast 50S cnc connection. Anyone have opinions on which is better to use?

Thanks

yes the ARC OK signal is wired from PROMA 150 to one of the inputs on MASSO. This does not require any special gcode in the file, every time you give M3 to start the ARC, MASSO automatically waits for an ARC OK signal before starting to move for the cut.

you will find if you do not wire the arch ok to the masso . it does not recive arch ok. it gets stuck and locks up at least that what happened

when I had my masso online. right now I just waiting for them to do more plasma upgrades. before I mess with plasma and masso

when using PROMA 150 an ARC ok signal is required and MASSO will not proceed with the cut if ARC OK is not received.

If you don't want to use ARC OK input then simply assign one input as ARC OK input and using the space key set its invert option so that it shows HIGH, this way MASSO will get a dummy ARC OK signal and start cutting without ARC OK signal.

In my experience this won t work. Masso seems to require a change from LOW to HIGH after Masso has sent the torch on signal.
