Plasma POST Processor with THC

Hi All, Is there a Masso postscript for Sheetcam to use a plasma?

"No, only a text file.

I have summited a request for an update with Sheetcam. It is (Machine type. Add a postscript for Masso plasma with THC and scribe, including "M10 turn on scribe/ M11 turn off scribe". )

That is just a text document and that means it won't load into Sheetcam.

Sheetcam will only except postscript, that is why I am asking for people to go to the Sheetcam site and vote.

I hope this will help me and benefit others in the future, Masso and Sheetcam as a clean working combination.

I have searched the web and can't find a free program to change your text file to postscript, people have commented the program costs $1000s.

No guarantees that this will work but worth a try. Here is an online converter.

One can change many document formats on this site.

This may help. There is a section in the instructions that explains how to import a post from a file (pg 8 or 9).

If your download will not load as given by Masso, you can open it in Notepad++ (free @ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/), and save it as a variety of extensions.

NYC CNC has a good video on editing a post on Notepad++ He is using Fusion, but the principals are the same. Look at the last half of the video for the Notepad++ info

But still no luck, I did do M08 M09 last week in post edit to get the scribe to work.

Not being Tec savvy it is probably best to do a vote or see if Masso will make a post processor for Sheetcam.

Oh the other thing is are you able to send me a "tap file" 40mm square to compare with the one I have and I can run it in the plasma to see if it works!

I seem to recall reading on the Sheetcam web pages that they will do a postprocessor no charge - ah yes here it is:

Custom posts can be written to your specifications. This service is normally free unless the post is particularly complicated. Some examples of specialist posts include machines with multiple heads, say a plasma cutter with a pucnch marking head.

Maybe worth checking out.

Still no luck in converting the text to a script that Sheetcam can read.

clover and cncburn I spent the whole day with this.

I will probably need someone to take screen shots of the post processer that they use then I can do my editing that way in Sheetcam.

@ross those links have the proper sheetcam post processor files and work directly with the sheetcam, maybe your browser is just opening them. you need the save the files to your computer and load in sheetcam.

I managed to save the Masso as a postscript but there is no function for a scribe M08 M09.

It would be nice to have this added in the next update.
