I have saved settings. Photographed all settings, as advised in upgrade instructions.

After the upgrade, loaded old settings, Homing would not work.

Entered all settings manually again from photo of settings.

Would not Home, Homing Error.

Reloaded 4.01, reset all settings, Machine will not Home.

Continues to give Homing Error.

Stay away from 4.02, a major issue that can not be overcome at this time, without major help.

I have a useless machine.

Hi ecgworks

Could you share a copy of your printable setting file please.
It sounds like you are missing something in the configuration.

At what stage does it give you the homing error?
Do all the axis home and it then sits there and gives a homing error or does nothing move and then you get a homing error?

I'm sure it is something simple.
Cheers Peter

I got it, neglected homing setting, was off-screen, and completely forgot.

I guess the operator is the useless one, me:)

Hi ecgworks,

Glad you got it sorted.
I did notice that there were no inputs assigned for the homing sensors in the settings file.

If it helps you don't need to take photos of the screen. You can use the Screen Print feature CTRL+P to print the screen which will copy the screen to your flash drive.
The Printed setting file can also be used to check settings settings but I do find the screen prints quicker when it comes to comparing screens as you are looking at 2 things with the same layout.

You should also use the Save settings feature to save a copy of your settings in case you need to reload. Quicker than manual entry. Just save the original settings and after you have upgraded and are happy that all is well save it again. Be aware that the new backup will overwrite the old one and may not be backwards compatible so maybe wait a day or two or copy the original backup to somewhere else for safe keeping.

Cheers Peter

I did save settings. For some reason, the homing setting saved the logic setting but not the named setting or logic name.
