Plunge rate sheet cam

Hello, it is easy for this question to be silly to many because it is a simple shortcut, but I do not know practically nothing programming I do not know. The question is that when I put the drilling speed in plunge rate, in sheetcam with the MASSO PLASMA WITH THC postprocessor, and I give start, it doesn't matter what speed I write to it, and it always drops at the same drilling speed. I have only been able to adjust the speed of torch touch. Can anyone tell me how it can be varied or modified in the postprocessor?

Thanks

Are you using the Masso for a Plasma system? If so, what speed are you trying to adjust? 1. Z axis for normal up/down movements, 2. speed of Z axis during Torch Height Control

Hi, thanks for answering. Say I'm using Masso for plasma. The speed I want to be able to modify is that of penetration speed. I have tried different speed parameters and it does not respond to any. Can it be because in the postprocessor it lights the torch of the plasma to look for the cutting height with the movement "G00"?

If the created Gcode uses G00 then it will be using rapid speed. Changing it to G01 will force it to use the Feed rate specified.

Cheers

Fantastic, it was like that. I started erasing the cut-off height gcode and realized that I was already taking the speed I needed. But without erasing it and changing the G00 to the G01 already works fine. Thank you very much to both of you for your time. I only have to know why when some gcodes file is running, it pauses me between the lines. Let's say that in the process of movement you do not execute the gcodes in the same movement, but make a brief pause between the lines of gcodes that influence the cut.

I have not noticed an issue with my setup, but it is a good question. I posted the question to the SheetCam forum, perhaps they will also have some input. I will re-post if there is any additional info.

Reig and cncburn, I have the same problem with the Masso pausing on movements,

Mach3 post is no good cause it won't convert to curves!

The thing that i have noticed with the Masso post is the pause is at the moment it is getting the command to do an ark and at the same time the Masso run light that i added blacks out for a split second. probably in the lines that i have high lighted red.

If you watch the jeep i cut you really see it while cutting the wheels and the feed will drop to 0% "might be processor speed or a bug not sure, but i sway towards processor speed"

From Ross.

Ross,

I have noticed that MASSO pauses between arc movements on our router. When cutting a circle, there are noticeable pauses between each quadrant of the circle.

Regards,

Arie.

I don't quite understand what happens. I did the gcode of that piece several times, and now no longer pauses. But it won't be the last time it...
